Book: A Brief History of Everything
Author: Ken Wilber
Reminder: we will meet at Ciao Stella around the corner, at 206 Sullivan street.
This will be our 3rd and last gathering for this text. Complete reading the last six chapters, 13-18. All are welcomed.
Once again another stimulating conversation organically evolved. As Michael observed and commented: "...it seems no matter the assigned text or theme; we always seem to grapple with the idea of what is "Consciousness" and how we relate to it...". I agree.
Integral Theory and Wilber's four quadrant approach is certainly controversial. I love how it seduces one to be critical and re-examine paradigms.
Thanks to Lee Jung Jin, Nadya, Mike, Ben, Jason (finally came-back, a dynamic person), and Chuck for their thirst, non-judgment and enthusiasm and for co-creating the experience
Hope to see everyone again at our next meet-up.
Ken Wilber is an American author who writes on psychology, philosophy, mysticism, ecology, and spiritual evolution. He has been described as New Age, although he is critical of much within the New Age movement in his books. His work formulates what he calls an "integral theory of consciousness." He is a leading proponent of the integral movement and founded the Integral Institute in 1998.
BEN will moderate the discussion/conversation.
Hoping everyone will join and connect with the Conversation soon......
NOTE: Our next text will be "PSYCHE & MATTER" by Marie-Louise Von Frantz.
